The Hubert Janßen horticultural production was founded in 1964 by Matthias and Margarethe Janßen. The business was handed to the son, Hubert Janßen, in 1998, who manages it jointly with his wife, Gabriele.
During the first years, vegetables were the sole product that was cultivated. In the course of time, the production was converted to cut flowers and potted plants. The cultivation area has also been continuously expanded.

Today, 23 qualified employees grow varieties like the calluna vulgaris bud bloomer, "Beauty Ladies", "Erica ventricosa" (wax heath ) and "acacia armata" (kangaroo thorn) on some 32000 m 2 of cutting-edge greenhause space and 23 ha of open grounds. Our range of varieties and the diversity of the twin and trio "Beauty Ladies" calluna are second to none in Europe. The acacia armata are genuine rarities and are grown by two horticultural productions in Europe only.
